Ben Affleck is in The Town

Watch out for that movie, 24th September Austrian cinemas get the new movie directed by Ben Affleck starring Ben Affleck, John Ham (The Day the Earth Stood Still – remake), Jeremy Renner (Hurt Locker), Rebecca Hall (Frost/Nixon, Vicky Christina Barcelona) and the Smoke Monster (Titus Welliver).

Reviews are great, it currently sits at 93 percent at rottentomatoes with 108 reviews and the Armond White approval:

The Town is nearly as ludicrous as [Affleck’s] debut Gone Baby Gone — another poison pen letter to Beantown.

So all signs look good.

P.S.: for the uninitiated, Armond White was called a Troll by filmcritic Roger Ebert. He is the guy that hates well received movies (Dark Knight, Iron Man and he was one of the three critics that gave Toy Story 3 a bad review to get some attention) and he praises bad movies (Transformers 2, Norbit).

So if he gives a bad review to a movie it’s a very good recommendation
