Well Ben Affleck is not only Batman – he also is no longer directing the adaption of Stephen King’s The Stand. Instead Scott Cooper (Crazy Heart) has been brought in to re-write and direct the adaption.
All I can say about this: now you really have to knock Batman out of the park!
The Stand tells the story of a pandemic which kills 99% of the human race. The remaining survivors need to get together and struggle for their lifes as a terrifying villain in the shape of Randall Flagg sets out to destroy the last remants of humanity. The character of Randall Flagg is also of pivotal importance in Stephen King’s The Dark Tower where he pops up from time to time to give the protagonists a hard time.
There haven’t been substantial news about The Dark Tower which seems to be stuck in development hell.
