17 Game of Thrones Season 4 images released

Battle for the Thrones Banner

HBO has released 17 new images for the upcoming fourth season of Game of Thrones. They are pretty much character posters that don’t give much away for the upcoming stories. But it is nice to see the characters who will return on April 6th for the battle raging on in the world created by George R.R. Martin.

Rewatching Season 1 made me think that this was probably not what Sansa (Sophie Turner) expected from a fairy tale marriage. Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) is probably having a tough time as well.

I must say I find him much more interesting to look at than Ed Skrein from Season 3. Here’s a refresher from the third season:

I am still curious if and how they will address the recast. Maybe they will just gloss over it but this is not a recast like Tommen Baratheon where half of the audience has already forgotten who Tommen is. Maybe they will pull a quick Iron Man 2 introduction of Don Cheadle who replaced Terrence Howard – that was pretty much the only thing Iron Man 2 did right.
