Duncan Jones to direct World of Warcraft movie

A movie to the massively successful Online Roleplaying Game World of Warcraft (WoW) has been long discussed and director Sam Raimi (Evil Dead, Spider-Man) had been attached for a while. Raimi parted the project and will now bring us a reimagining of the Wizard of Oz (hopefully not a letdown like Alice in Wonderland) and there hasn’t been much development in the Warcraft camp. That is until a few days ago it was announced that Duncan Jones (Source Code, Moon) has been hired to direct and in his own words he addresses a very common problem with videogame adaptions:

Well I’d prefer more cool original Sci-Fi… let’s hope for the best.
