The Cabin in the Woods is a horror movie that has already been made in 2009 but due to studio bankruptcy has taken 3 years to hit the silver screen. Directed by Drew Goddard (screenwriter Cloverfield) and co-written by Joss Whedon (Avengers, Firefly) the movie seems to be just another horror flick.
Ridley Scott has returned to the Alien franchise after a long string of not so exciting projects. With Prometheus interviews and trailers there is the promise of a return to science fiction in the vein of Blade Runner and the original Alien.
But is Prometheus a return to form?
After Ice Age 4 predictably failed as a family film and after seeing the uninspired trailer for Madagascar (insert number) Brave made an undeniably positive impression on me.
The final piece of Christopher Nolan’s ambitious Batman trilogy has arrived. On friday I have watched the movie in glorious IMAX and I had to let it settle a little before making a review. Now I am pretty sure that right now no one wants to hear story details so this review will be spoiler free.

The Amazing Spider-Man is a movie that had to justify its existence way in advance. Retelling the story of how Peter Parker got bitten by a mutated spider seemed a little early – after all Sam Raimi’s version of Spider-Man had been done a mere ten years ago.
