Editor’s note: I have delayed this review as well as the final Avengers review for some time due to my disappointment with Avengers. Because I didn’t want to unleash the full nerdrage right after the cinema I decided to wait a little and let the dust settle.
Note: this is a guest review from a friend of mine who has had the chance to catch a screening of Ridley Scott’s Prometheus over at the Netherlands (sadly Austrian moviegoers have to wait until 9th of August)
A giant spaceship. A strange planet. A chick that turns badass. Sounds familiar? Welcome to Ridley Scott’s return to science fiction.
This review will be about two movies from 2011: Fast Five and Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol (MI4). I managed to catch Fast Five in theaters yet I missed out on MI4 until I got my hands on the Blu Ray.
For the 35th anniversary of the original Star Wars (May 25th 1977) I have decided to post a review I wanted to write months ago but never found the time to do it. The Star Wars documentary The People vs. George Lucas.
Marvel’s big four year plan has come to its conclusion. There will be a very detailed analysis for the review series Assembling the Avengers but for the time being let’s have a quick review:
Nine years after the last cinematic adventure of Jim (Jason Biggs), Stifler (Sean William Scott) and the rest of the gang the big 13-year class reunion is about to happen. And as it is the convention for American Pie it is more exaggerated than anything that would happen in real life.

The best weapon is the weapon you only have to fire once!
The arrogance in the words of Tony Stark is incredible. The way he puts himself above everyone else, leads an overly luxurious lifestyle and doesn’t care for anyone else – he the guy you would not suspect to be a hero left alone like him at all. And yet Tony Stark is one of the strongest if not the strongest hero characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The Woman in Black is the story of Arthur Kipps (Daniel Radcliffe) a widowed father who goes into a town to handle the estate of a woman named Alice Drablow who has lived in an old manor known to the locals as Eel Marsh House.
To say that he is not greeted friendly is putting it mildly. The townfolk eager to send Kipps back where he came from. When he wants to go to the abandoned house almost everyone tries to change his mind. Children are creepily looking out of windows and the house itself is also very uninviting. Kipps is about to find a terrible secret that the inhabitants don’t dare to talk about…
