So finally I managed to catch The Artist. A silent movie about the end of the silent era. It is the heavyweight of the Oscar movies and unless a big miracle happens it will win best picture. I was very skeptical because two of my friends had seen an early screening of the movie at the Viennale and while one was raving about it the other was surprisingly solemn about it. And the fact that this friend shared exactly the same feelings about The King’s Speech last year had me turn down my anticipation so that I wouldn’t have the same situation as last year.

The Descendants is a drama about George Clooney living in Hawaii and trying to deal with the coma of his wife due to a boat-accident and the fact that his wife might have hidden a few things from him.
Senna is a documentary about the Formula 1 driver Ayrton Senna from Brasil (1960-1994). It chronicles the career of a man whom many F1 drivers consider to be the greatest driver in history of Formula 1.
Super Bowl is here…. well I don’t know anything about Super Bowl but I know that there will be lots of new trailers interrupted by some kind of sport thingy, so here we are, the 2011 Super Bowl Trailers:

So we get more glimpses of the Special Effects onslaught and it looks pretty big, but also very emotionless going up against a giant evil alien attack. At least they have added spaceships to the exploding cars from the first trailer so the explosions don’t look so random like they did in the first preview.
He is the one! The politician who is different than the rest. He will save America and lead us out of this crisis. He is the only candidate one can trust and if he does not get elected the country will go spiral even further down…
